2011 Championship Events
Two more Collegiate National Championship locations have been officially announced for 2011, and they are in much more geographically-beneficial areas of the country for the SECCC. Cyclocross Nationals will be officially held in Madison, WI, along with Road Nationals. And Mountain Bike Nationals will be held in Davis, West Virginia. Very much a win for the SECCC! You can read about it here.

2010 Club of the Year - Mars Hill College
Our own Mars Hill College has been named USA Cycling's collegeiate club of the year for 2010! Congrats to Coach Moran and the team, who had a whole host of accomplishments this year, including a podium finish at Cyclocross Nationals, D2 SECCC champions in Cyclocross and Road, and hosting the SECCC Road championships. The team also sent riders to Collegiate Nationals in all 4 disciplines this past year: road, mountain, track, and cyclocross. You can read more about the award here.

2010 Cyclocross Nationals
The SECCC had 6 different teams competing at Nationals this past weekend. In D1, Lees McRae won the National Championship in the team omnium, so congrats to them. Also in D1, Clemson took 16th place. In D2, Mars Hill finished 2nd place in the team omnium, along with Tennessee-Chattanooga (6th), Savannah College of Art & Design (7th), and Cumberland (11th). UTC's Kimberly Flynn won the overall D2 National Championship individually.

2011 Road Schedule
The 2011 Road Schedule is now posted in the Calendar section of the website. The season is a little more robust in 2011, with 2 extra dates in '11 vs '10. However, with the new "half + plus conference" format, only 4 races plus conference will count in terms of points.
A couple of the highlights on the calendar include a couple of schools that haven't hosted in awhile (Clemson & Alabama) and a couple of schools that will be first-time hosts (King & Mercer), not to mention the consistent anchors on the schedule including Florida State, Mars Hill, and others.
